Brenda Jones
Chairperson

Brenda Jones has been a member of Holy Cross since 2001.  She has actively served in several ministries in the church since joining.  She has served as a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She has been a Catechist for over 15 years assisting with the First Communion classes and currently working with the 7th and 8^th grade students.  She is a member of the Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary. Brenda has co-chaired the Fundraising Committee for many years and has served on the Pastoral Council for over 10 years.  She is married to Don Jones.  They have two young adults, Travis and Brittney, who have received the Sacraments of Holy Eucharist and Confirmation here at Holy Cross.

 

Jacqueline King

My name is Jackie King. I was born on the lovely islands of Trinidad and Tobago (My opinion of course). I am a member of Holy Cross Catholic church since 1984. I am married, and I have one daughter and one granddaughter whom I adore. I am an educator and I am passionate about teaching children. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and yoga. I currently serve as a lector at the 8:00 a.m. Mass on Sundays. Previously, I served as co-director of the Religious education, Catechist for Confirmation, RCIA, and a member of the Parish Council at Holy Cross. 

Deacon Don Cooper

I have been a member of Holy Cross for twenty-two years. I have enjoyed serving God through various ministries with some wonderful people. Currently I am a diaconate candidate in the Diocese of Austin Class of 2022. This experience has introduced me to a higher level of Christian learning, service and awareness of the great harvest, near all Christians. With all humility, I can say it is a true blessing from God. 
 

Dr. Mrs. Lady Jane Adaobi Dike (aka Sunshine)

Hello! My name is Dr. Mrs. Lady Jane Adaobi Dike, popularly known as "Sunshine." I have been a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church since 1998. I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner board certified (PMHNP-BC), married to a fantastic kind-hearted man (Ken Dike) and blessed with three gorgeous children (Amaka, Obi, and Dubem). I'm currently serving as a member of the pastoral council, a lector at the church, and Austin Igbo Mass parish council representative. I am also a member of Knight of St. Peter Claver, Healthcare Ministry, and Nigerian Catholic Women Organization. At my leisure time, I enjoy watching Nigerian movies, listening to soft meaningful music, and having quality time with my family. My passion is to make a difference in the health and well-being of the vulnerable in our community. My goal is to work with other pastoral council members to make Holy Cross Catholic Church an outstanding and par excellence parish. My prayer is for our Almighty God to lead and guide our thoughts and actions as we work in his vineyard.

Dean Dorsey

Dean Dorsey has been a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church since 1976 and is currently a member of the Pastoral Council.  She previously served on the Advisory Board of the Office of Black Catholics for the Catholic Diocese of Austin as well as the Holy Cross Social Justice Ministry.  She is a member of the Altar Rosary Society, a Charter member of the Knights of Peter Claver Court 284 and also a Charter member of the 4th Degree Gracious Ladies, Chapter 40.  She is currently the KPC Area Deputy for Court 284 in Austin and Court 385 in Waco, Texas.  She retired from the Austin Independent School District.  Dean Dorsey is the wife of Johnnie Dorsey, Sr. and the Mother of Johnnie Dorsey, Jr. (Deceased), and Shannon Myers Johnson.  Dean and Johnnie are the proud grandparents of 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Zachary "Alex" King

I’ve been a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church since 1990 and served in several church ministries including Ushers, Men’s, ACTS, Fundraising and KPC.  My wife (Adrienne King) and I were married at Holy Cross in 1993 and all three of our children received their sacraments as members of Holy Cross while participating in many of the youth group activities (Ashley, Alyssa and Aaron King).  As a member of the Pastoral Council I want to continue serving my God, my Church, my family and this community.

John James

John and Joyce James have been  active members of Holy Cross 18 years. I have been active in the ACTS Mission at Holy Cross from the beginning. I am a Bachelor of Arts Degree holder from Texas State University in San Marcos. I am a member of the Knights of Peter Claver at Holy Cross as well. I am and have been actively involved in the Diocese of Austin activities having served on the CCHD Grants Committee before its restructuring and currently as a member of the Board and Executive Committee. I am employed at Prudential Advisors as a Financial Services Professional.

Alben "Al" Augillard

Alben (AL) Augillard is a life long Catholic from New Orleans, Louisiana. He is currently living in Cedar Park, TX. He joined Holy Cross Catholic Church in Austin, TX in 2019 and is a member of KPC 284 and transferred from KPC 313 St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church Decatur, GA. Holy Cross just feels like home.
